Terms of service
These terms cover everything you buy from Bijoux Affair, and the use of this site. Bijoux Affair is Lisa Ross, designing and making jewelry in Scottsdale, Arizona. Placing an order means you accept them.
Every piece is one of a kind
Each piece is made by hand, one at a time, from natural stones. Natural stone varies: colour, veining and pattern differ from bead to bead and from photograph to piece. The photographs on this site show the exact piece you will receive wherever a piece is in stock, but screens render colour differently and slight variation is the nature of the material, not a fault.
Most pieces exist only once. When one sells it is gone, though a similar piece can often be made in other stones — write to Lisa and ask.
Prices, availability and orders
Prices are in US dollars and can change without notice. An order is an offer to buy; it is accepted when the piece ships. If a piece turns out to be unavailable, or a price or description is wrong, the order can be cancelled and anything paid is refunded in full.
Custom and commissioned pieces
Lisa makes pieces to order. The design, the stones, the size and the price are agreed with you in writing before work begins. Because a commission is made for one person, it cannot be returned unless it arrives faulty or is not what was agreed.
Returns and shipping
Returns and exchanges are covered by the refund policy, and delivery by the shipping policy. Both form part of these terms.
Wearing and caring for your jewelry
The bracelets are strung on stretch cord and slip over the hand — roll them on rather than stretching them wide, which is what makes a cord give. Keep pieces away from perfume, lotion, chlorine and water, and store them apart so stones do not knock against each other. Jewelry is not a toy and is not suitable for small children.
